L.A Crimes

Detective: L.A. Crimes is the first campaign expansion for the cooperative board game Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, players take on the roles of LAPD detectives to solve three interconnected cases involving drugs, corruption, and bureaucracy.

L.A. Crimes introduces several thematic shifts and mechanical updates to the core gameplay:
Campaign Structure: Includes three new cases—Victim in a Hotel, Hit and Run, and The Festival—that form a single narrative campaign.
Stakeout & Observation: New mechanics allow players to assign surveillance to suspects or locations to gather more in-depth information.
Bending the Law: Players can choose “off the books” actions to bypass bureaucratic red tape, though these generate extra Stress tokens.
