Eldritch Horror

Eldritch Horror is a cooperative, world-spanning adventure board game for 1–8 players where investigators work together to prevent an Ancient One from awakening and destroying the world. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s fiction and the classic Arkham Horror board game, it focuses on a global race to solve mysteries, gather clues, and defeat terrifying monsters.

The game is played in rounds, each consisting of three distinct phases:
Action Phase: Investigators perform up to two actions, such as traveling between cities, resting to recover health or sanity, acquiring assets like weapons or allies, or preparing for future movement with rail or ship tickets.
Encounter Phase: Players resolve a narrative encounter based on their current location. This can involve fighting monsters, researching clues, or closing dimensional gates in “Other World” encounters.
Mythos Phase: The game environment strikes back. Players draw a Mythos card that progresses the Ancient One’s arrival, spawns new monsters, opens gates, or introduces global rumors that must be dealt with.

Global Map: Unlike its predecessor set in a single city, Eldritch Horror takes place on a global scale, with investigators traveling to major cities and remote wilderness locations around the world.
Unique Ancient Ones: The base game includes four Ancient Ones (such as Azathoth and Cthulhu), each with its own dedicated deck of Mystery and Research cards that change the game’s objectives and flavor.
Investigator Variety: Players choose from 12 unique investigators, each with their own skills (Lore, Influence, Observation, Strength, and Will), special abilities, and starting equipment.
High Replayability: With hundreds of possible encounters and a Mythos deck that acts as a timer, every session offers a different narrative experience.
