7 Wonders

7 Wonders is a fast-paced, card-drafting strategy game where 3 to 7 players lead one of the seven great cities of the ancient world. Designed by Antoine Bauza and originally released in 2010, it is widely considered one of the most awarded board games in history, having won over 30 international awards including the inaugural Kennerspiel des Jahres (Connoisseur’s Game of the Year) in 2011.

The game takes place over three “Ages,” with players simultaneously selecting and playing cards to develop their city and build their specific Wonder of the Ancient World.

Card Drafting: In each Age, players receive a hand of seven cards. They choose one to play and pass the remaining cards to their neighbor. This continues until everyone has played six cards.
City Building: Cards represent different structures, such as resource production (brown/grey), civilian buildings (blue), scientific discoveries (green), and military strength (red).
Resource Management: To build more advanced structures, you must produce specific resources or buy them from your immediate left and right neighbors for 2 coins each.
Military Conflicts: At the end of each Age, players compare their military strength with their neighbors. Victors earn victory points, while losers receive penalty tokens.
